In this class, you explore strange and imaginative ideas inspired by Alice in Wonderland. You practice expressing complex thoughts, interpreting symbolism, and telling personal stories about curiosity, confusion, and unusual experiences.

Session Activities

1: Have you ever read or watched Alice in Wonderland? What do you remember most clearly about it?

2: Do you enjoy stories that are strange or surreal? Why or why not?

3: If you suddenly fell into a completely different world, what would be the first thing you would do?

1: Alice follows the rabbit without knowing where it leads. Have you ever made a spontaneous decision that led to an unexpected experience?

2: In Wonderland, the normal rules of logic do not apply. How do people react when situations don’t make logical sense in real life?

3: Alice constantly grows and shrinks. If your body suddenly changed size throughout the day, how would your life become complicated?

4: Many characters in the story behave strangely but think their behavior is normal. Have you ever been in a social situation where everyone acted strangely, but nobody questioned it?

5: The Queen of Hearts constantly says “Off with their heads!” Why do you think some leaders or authority figures overreact to small problems?

6: The Mad Hatter’s tea party is chaotic and nonsensical. What real-life situations feel similar to this kind of confusion or chaos?

7: Wonderland often reflects the confusion of growing up. What parts of becoming an adult felt confusing or illogical to you?

8: The story challenges traditional rules and expectations. In your culture, what social rules sometimes feel arbitrary or unnecessary?

9: Alice eventually questions everything around her. Do you think questioning authority and social norms is important? Why or why not?
